Comfortable Transitional Housing

NDIS Medium Term Accommodation, or MTA, is short term housing for when your long-term home is not ready yet. It gives you a safe, settled place to stay while you wait. That might be while you wait for SDA, a SIL home or home modifications to finish. MTA is usually funded for up to 90 days under your Core Supports budget. Cardinal Care provides furnished, accessible homes across Brisbane and Hobart.

What is Medium Term Accommodation?

Medium Term Accommodation is short term housing funded by the NDIS while you wait for your long-term home to be ready.

MTA is for NDIS participants who have a confirmed long-term housing plan but need somewhere to stay while their permanent home is arranged.

MTA funding covers the cost of accommodation only. Daily living costs and personal support come from other parts of your NDIS plan or out of pocket.

MTA is usually funded for up to 90 days. The exact length can vary with your circumstances and how long your long-term home takes to arrange.

Work with your support coordinator to include MTA in your plan, or talk to us and we will make sure it fits your long-term housing goals.
